The Journey Begins
Many of you have read the recent series my stepmom, Celina, posted a few months ago about my entrance into the family. That’s just a taste of the many things I’ve learned in the four years since joining the Holliman tribe. When Celina first asked me to contribute to the new website, I was skeptical as to what I could write about each week.
Upon further discussion with her, I knew exactly what I could share: my story.
Maybe this seems obvious to you, but it’s a major breakthrough for me. Sharing the things I am learning about on this journey toward family restoration is something that I’ve wanted to do–but couldn’t–since the first summer I spent with my dad. At that time, I wasn’t emotionally ready to share.
The good news, though, is that I am now ready!
I don’t consider myself an expert on the subject of family restoration. (I want to be sure to include this caveat because everyone is an “expert” online.) This path keeps winding and twisting in such an unpredictable fashion that I often find myself struggling to keep up a decent pace.
Nonetheless, if I can throw out a breadcrumb to even one person I will consider my contribution to this website, as small as it is, worth it.
This first post is more of an explanation of my angle, so to speak, as a contributor to the Holliman Family blog. I look forward to sharing my thoughts with you and I want my posts to be as helpful and informative as possible.
With that being said, please send your questions and comments my way! What do you want me to write about? Your feedback is crucial as well as greatly appreciated.
Well, until next time, enjoy the fruit of Celina’s hard work by checking out the new website!
Audra, I’m so glad YOU ARE READY! The story of your journey… our journey from your perspective will be a blessing to an untold many! Thank you for doing this!
